discuss which approach to managing and organizing Junction Hotel would be most effective for the long-term success of the hotel.

This essay draws upon and develops your formative essay from December 2012. You are still asked to evaluate rational organisation and its desirability for Junction Hotel, but you are now analyzing rationalisation alongside at least one topic of your choice which is relevant to contemporary organisations. As a rough guide, 50% of the essay should cover rationalization, and 50% your chosen topic.

• Explain and analyse how your chosen topic relates to rational organisation – does it lend support to the strategy, argue against it – or maybe both?

• Conclude by evaluating the potential benefits and disadvantages of rational organisation for Junction Hotel, noting any other considerations for Junction hotel given by your chosen topic.
